Team Oakden - Fife, Scotland
Team Oakden is based in a wee Scottish village named Dunbog, the home of James and Sarah Oakden
James is a former 5* event rider, long listed for the World Equestrian Games. He is a BHSI and has trained many students through NVQ and BHS exams. Sarah is a BHSAI, with a successful career in showing and a passion for training competitive equestrians.
They moved to Scotland 20 years ago and combined forces to set up ‘Team Oakden’, where they focus on helping their clients to reach their goals. This started with a focus on event riders and horses, taking them to many international starts, including GB team call ups.
Over the last few years, the business has expanded hugely and they now train combinations throughout the disciplines, from children qualifying WHPs for HOYS, university students who want to continue progressing alongside their studies, business people who have horses for fun, as well as professional competitors. 2023 has been a brilliant year and has seen many of our dressage combinations gaining National tickets and four riders qualifying for Badminton Grassroots Championships 2024.
Alongside this, we take in a number of horses for schooling, breaking and problem solving, and if one thing is for sure, there is never a dull day and, it’s all done in the most beautiful of surroundings.
